Beaver Water District provides drinking water to more than 425,000 people across Northwest Arkansas. As regional demand grows, the District sought a way to manage rising energy costs while maintaining reliable, affordable water service.
Madison Energy Infrastructure partnered with Beaver Water District and Verogy to develop a 7.2 MW solar array directly across from the District’s water treatment plant in Northwest Arkansas. Madison led development and financing, while Verogy managed construction.
By generating power close to where it is needed, the project will help Beaver Water District reduce long-term operating costs, support growing demand for water services, and deliver lasting economic benefits to the communities it serves.
“This solar installation strengthens our ability to deliver safe, affordable, and reliable water to the communities we serve,” said Beaver Water District CEO M. Lane Crider, P.E.
“It lowers long-term operating costs, supports regional growth, and reinforces our commitment to sustainability. Our customers will benefit from this investment for decades to come.”
