Overview:

Madison Energy Investments (“MEI”) believes in the power of clean energy infrastructure and has quickly emerged as a preeminent developer, investor, asset owner, and operator of distributed generation. This role represents a critical next step in MEI’s evolution toward offering direct, end-to-end services to Fortune 500 corporates, public entities, nonprofits, and other private customers alike.

The Procurement Manager will play a crucial role at MEI as the logistics expert who will specialize in implementing cost-effective purchases and ensure quality control. This role has a unique opportunity to work and lead across all MEIs project phases and is responsible for the procurement of goods for use in the business by identifying potential supplier sources, screening them, negotiating favorable payment terms; monitoring supplier performance and ensuring contractual obligations are met.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Creating and implementing procurement strategies that are innovative, cost effective and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within the industry.

Building long-term relationships with vendors in the industry.

Procuring material that includes solar PV modules, inverters, racking, battery storage equipment, switchgear, and other electrical equipment.

Coordinating with Engineering and Construction teams to ensure both scope (Technical Specifications) and project timeliness are met.

Reviewing contract specifications on behalf of the company; working closely with the legal department to ensure contracts and terms are favorable.

Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives surrounding the areas of quality, risk mitigation and supply chain.

Develop and maintain scorecards of supplier performance and recommend new suppliers based on quality, competitive pricing and service.

What We Are Looking For:

Demonstrated ability to perform with a high degree of flexibility and resourcefulness.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills, including both verbal and written skills.

Knowledge (suppliers, markets, trends) of the renewable energy industry, a plus.

Demonstrated knowledge of general business and industry practices, processes and familiarity with federal and local energy regulations and performance standards preferred.

Location: Tysons Corner, VA

Compensation Range: $90,000 – $150,000
