‍Madison Energy investments (MEI) is proud to dedicate $50 million to a financing joint venture agreement with Influent Energy, a leading national solar developer and construction company. The fund is dedicated to the development of solar energy projects for commercial, industrial and government customers throughout the United States. Founded in 2019, Madison Energy Investments is a platform that finances, owns and operates distributed generation assets serving commercial, industrial and government customers throughout the United States. The firm has offices in Northern Virginia, New York City and Birmingham, Alabama.

Influent Energy is a national, woman-owned engineering, procurement and construction (“EPC”) firm based in Kansas City, MO. Influent has completed commercial-scale solar projects across the United States. Influent’s clients include investor-owned utilities, municipal governments, the federal government, and Fortune 500 corporations. The solar project agreement between MEI and Influent will finance the construction of solar energy projects, delivering significant energy savings and ESG benefits to customers.

MEI’s Managing Partner, Richard Walsh, expressed enthusiasm for investment in the C&I solar market. “MEI is excited to support Influent’s growing solar development business. The Influent team has demonstrated its ability to develop quality projects across multiple markets, especially underserved markets in the Midwest.”

Founders Jessica Oakley and Andy Zellers stated: "We are proud to team up with eDGe Renewable Partners and MEI to continue developing commercial solar projects across the country. Madison’s flexibility and reputation in the market will boost our growth and ability to deliver even more value for our customers.” eDGe Renewable Partners, headed by principal Bahaa Samy, arranged the MEI investment for the venture. eDGe has worked with investors and developers in thirteen nations and is supporting the development of renewable energy projects valued at more than $1 billion.

Bahaa Samy said: "eDGe Renewable Partners is proud to be working with Influent Energy and MEI during these very exciting times in the C&I solar industry. MEI is a long-term partner offering capital along with commercial and technical support to renewable energy developers. Their expertise pairs well with Influent’s development team and market knowledge. We’re confident this is the beginning of a very fruitful partnership.”
